Oracle® Business Intelligence Suite Enterprise Edition (OBIEE)

As part of the Oracle Fusion Middleware product family, OBIEE allows users to extract intelligence from data spanning Oracle and non-Oracle sources, providing a comprehensive view across the enterprise. Based on a web service-oriented architecture, the Oracle Business Intelligence Suite Enterprise Edition is a standards-based suite of BI infrastructure products and tools. OBIEE features a unified, highly scalable suite of tools that can be leveraged to deliver a full range of analysis and reporting capabilities.

Each of the suite’s components accesses the same underlying data and serves it to users in a variety of roles within the organization that need to view and use that information in different ways.

•   OBIEE provides the functionality for users to build interactive dashboards, ad-hoc queries,
         and proactive intelligence alerts.
  
  
•   Report authors can select items that they want in their report (from Oracle applications and
        from other disparate datasources), and OBIEE will collect and aggregate the information.
  
  
•   Physical, business, and presentation layer mapping are all under IT control.
