The client, a leading developer of high-performance network applications for next-generation fixed, mobile and packet networks, leverages its global leadership in core multimedia session control and network intelligence to ensure scalable, secure and highly available communications. The company's leading signaling solutions enable the interworking of different network applications, technologies and protocols, providing a smooth transition to next-generation networks.

Challenge

The client wished to migrate from its current release of the Oracle Applications (11.5.10) to Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 in order to position itself for future growth and maximize its internal processes; specifically, to take advantage of a Shared Service Model and Release 12’s improved functionality.

Solution

We performed the necessary steps to migrate the instance from the current Sun Solaris, multi-tier environment with two applications servers, in a shared appl_top environment, to a two node Linux\Solaris mixed platform combination for the ERP Oracle Applications installation of Release 12.0.3, and upgrade the database to Oracle10g. The upgrade was completed on time and under budget which was highly visible and recognized by executive levels at both the client and KBACE Technologies.

Results

The client is now in a position to take advantage of the new features at both the database and applications level worldwide.
