12.1 OTL .csv import testing

I completed testing of the OTL functionality to import timecard data in a .csv format without any issues. I do need to make a note that a user helping out with testing this feature experienced intermittent issues.  The issues seemed to center around "expenditure type class combinations".  I need to do some additional investigating since I didn't run into these errors.   From the screen prints below, you can see one of my test imports into OTL.  I was able to save and submit this timecard without any problems.

Recent Timecards screen with "Upload Timecard" button.

Select the time period and browse to the location of the .csv file.

The .csv file is loaded.

I had inconsistent results using this feature in R12.1. My timecard template typically has 10-20 rows on it, and I found that, after uploading and attempting to save, I would sometimes get multiple instances of the error "Hrs - Invalid expenditure type and expenditure type class combination". This always occurred on rows where there were entries on more than one day in the week. The errors were inconsistent; uploading the same template twice would generate errors in different places, and sometimes the upload worked fine! The issue isn't browser specific. KBACE is working with Oracle for a solution to this issue.

Hi Shashi,
Your OTL Administrator can enable the functionality to download the template from OTL. They would also need to enable to "Upload Timecard" button you see in the above screen captures. If this has not been enabled, you will not be able to upload the timecard using a spreadsheet.
The file I used can be reproduced by taking the below text, pasting into a plain-text document, and then changing the extension to .csv
