UPK context IDs are provided by applications as unique identifiers for individual forms. They can be used in conjunction with the Oracle Applications Help Menu to provide context sensitive help. Context IDs are captured automatically during UPK recording.
Note: There is a custom PLL script that must be run prior to recording topics.
In this scenario, when a user is working within a particular form and launches the Online help, there is the option to activate the UPK player, and any corresponding UPK topics are displayed.
To view a recorded context ID for the frame:
- Open the topic editor and go to the specific frame needing to be viewed, entered or modified
- Click the Context ID button from the menu bar
A Context ID Report that can be used to identify missing context ids can be published to generate a list of the Context IDs.
