Project Details:

VSOE Solution & Upgrade from 11.5.10 to Release 12.

KBACE upgraded 36 Oracle applications over 6 months in 18 countries across the globe. KBACE performed the necessary steps to migrate the instance from the current Sun Solaris, multi-tier environment with two application servers, in a shared appl_top environment, to a two node Linux\Solaris mixed platform combination for the installation of Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.0.3, and upgraded the database to Oracle10g.

KBACE developed a highly scalable VSOE solution that automates the high volume of transactions and eliminates the time that had been previously been spent on manual revenue recognition entries. The upgrade was completed on-time and under budget.

With nearly 30,000 employees, this company, through its subsidiaries, engages in the automotive rental businesses primarily in the United States and Europe. The Company operates in two segments: Car Rental and Equipment Rental. The Car Rental segment operates car rental locations at or near airports, as well as in central business districts and suburban areas of cities in North America, Europe, Brazil, and the Pacific. The Equipment Rental segment rents earthmoving equipment, material handling equipment, aerial and electrical equipment, air compressors, generators, pumps, small tools, compaction equipment, and construction-related trucks in North America and Europe.

Project: Upgrade from 11.5.10 to Release 12.

Using a single global instance of the Oracle E-Business suite, KBACE upgraded Human Resources, Advanced Benefits, and Payroll to Release 12. During the implementation, their Human Capital Management system was expanded by 15 countries for a total of 18 countries and 12 different languages worldwide. This company realized considerable cost savings by consolidating their global Human Capital Management business processes.

With over 50,000 employees worldwide, this multi-billion dollar Company provides products for transporting data, voice, and video within buildings, across campuses, and around the world.


Project: Release 12 (Early Adopter Program)

KBACE was engaged in this substantial Human Capital Management implementation project for over 80,000 current users plus additional data on former employees after an unsuccessful implementation attempt by an alternative service provider. To meet the aggressive 17 month timeframe, KBACE delivered an on-time Go-Live by adhering to Oracle Applications Implementation Methodology and Global Plan Phases. Some highlights of the project include:

  • Delivered 106 Paid Time Off Accrual Plans driven by 318 Fast Formulas
  • Built 5 ADP Payroll interfaces for 17 countries
  • Developed 13 Benefit vendor interfaces
  • Integrated Oracle HR with WorkScape
