Why should I take the time to review my OAB procedures and configuration?

Oracle Advanced Benefits (OAB) is designed on the premise of automation of benefits administration.

• If processes are not automated within OAB, this can lead to a high volume of manual work within the benefits department to maintain.
• Simple processes like updating employee/ employer costs when a Salary is changed can lead to out of balance conditions if not accounted for and can incur extra costs to the company if not updated timely and deducted from the employee paycheck.

Oracle Advanced Benefits is designed to leverage Self Service for employee benefit enrollments.

• A properly configured OAB system will allow for the ability to engage employees in the online benefit enrollment process during New Hire, Open Enrollment, and for all qualifying life events throughout the year; this will allow the benefits department to focus on more strategic initiatives then enrolling employees in benefits.
• If Life Events are not accurately configured according to business requirements employees may be able to enroll in benefits that should not be eligible to them.
