Oracle HCM Release 12.1 Enhancements

Oracle E-Business Suite 12.1 provides organizations of all sizes, across all industries and regions with an integrated business process foundation that reduces costs and increases productivity. Here is a sampling of the new Release 12.1 functionality:

Human Capital Management

  • Leverage Checklists to automate infrequent tasks and improve error checking to reduce the challenges faced by line managers and reduce the risk of non-compliance
  • Manage employee transfers and temporary deployments between different business groups, legal entities, countries etc;
  • Access multiple legal entities, business groups, and countries seamlessly through Multiple Organization Access Control in shared service centers;
  • Support Payroll for an additional 30 countries;
  • Leverage Human Resources Outsourcing and Business Process Outsourcing via multitenancy support;
  • Provide real-time, secure integration with Oracle/Peoplesoft HelpDesk for Human Resources;

Succession Planning

  • Implement and manage formal succession plans to improve employee retention;

Recruitment

  • Optimize recruiting efforts through Employee Referrals;
  • Utilize Interview Management to coordinate and track the entire interview cycle in the recruitment process;
  • Leverage Recruitment Communications functionality to manage messaging between recruiters, hiring managers, team members, candidates, and agencies;

Learning Management

  • Provide mandatory Course Evaluations for both online and offline training to gather structured feedback from class participants;
  • Target training to specific audiences by implementing flexible Learner Groups;
  • Automate mandatory class enrollments by learner, learner group, organization, job, position, or any combination of these;
  • Publish course-related material online through the use of attachments;

Performance Management

  • Cascade a single objective to multiple employees or cascade multiple objectives en masse to multiple employees;
  • Display related objectives in a Line of Sight graphical representation to help employees to understand how corporate objectives have been cascaded down and provide management with online visibility of objective alignment within the organization;
  • Allow appraisal participants to manage appraisals offline in Microsoft Excel;

Compensation

  • Complete multiple salary-related tasks from a single salary page;
  • Print Total Compensation Statements in batch for groups of employees;
  • Streamline the review and approval of individual compensation changes based on grade steps and points;
  • Enable managers to make multiple and future dated salary transactions;

Timecards

  • View a detailed audit trail for timecards from submission through approval;
  • Allow contingent workers to report time for multiple purchase orders;
  • Set default timecard periods and approval actions.
